This Cookie Policy explains exactly which cookies HealthCalc India uses, why, how long they last, and how you can control them. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They are used to remember preferences, analyse usage, and serve relevant advertisements. Cookies themselves do not contain personal health information — they contain identifiers (random strings) that allow services to recognise your browser across visits.
2. Browser Storage We Set Ourselves
HealthCalc India stores three preference values in your browser's localStorage — not as HTTP cookies, but as browser storage entries. They serve the same purpose as consent cookies but are stored differently: they are never sent to any server and cannot be read by third parties.

We do not store any health data, calculator inputs, or personal information in browser storage. These three entries store only your consent preferences — nothing else. To remove them, clear your browser's site data for myhealthcalc.in (browser Settings → Privacy → Clear browsing data → Cached images and files / Site data).
3. Google Analytics 4 Cookies
If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics 4 sets the following cookies on your device. These are set by Google, not by us.

GA4 data is anonymised — IP addresses are anonymised before storage. Google processes this data on servers globally, including the United States. For more details: Google Privacy Policy.

4. Google AdSense Cookies
If you accept advertising cookies, Google AdSense sets the following cookies. These are set by Google's advertising infrastructure, not by us.

5. What We Do NOT Use Cookies For
- We do not store any health data you enter into calculators in cookies
- We do not use cookies to track your exact location
- We do not sell cookie data to third parties
- We do not use cookies for automated decision-making that affects you legally
6. Managing Your Cookie Preferences
On This Site
When you first visit HealthCalc India, a consent banner appears at the bottom of the screen. You can:
- Click "OK" — accept all cookies (analytics + advertising)
- Click "Customize Cookies" — choose individually which categories to allow
To change your preference after making a choice, clear your browser's localStorage (browser settings → Privacy → Clear site data) and reload the page. The banner will reappear.
In Your Browser
You can block or delete cookies directly through your browser settings:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Settings → Safari → Privacy & Security
- Samsung Internet: Settings → Privacy → Cookie controls
Note: blocking cookies may affect how the site displays ads or tracks usage, but will not affect any calculator functionality — all calculations work without cookies.

7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when we add or remove services that use cookies. We will update the "Last updated" date when changes are made. Significant changes (such as adding a new third-party service) will also be reflected in our Privacy Policy.
